Shahzina joined the centre as a trainee in her second year of practicum and instantly fell in love with the centre, tamariki and the whanau. She has always had a passion for Early Childhood Education (ECE) for a
young age being the eldest she would look after her younger siblings and cousins. Shahzina is able to speak few words Korean, Chinese,
Tongan, Samoan, Arabic and fluently Fijian Hindi. Shahzina loves to put her knowledge into practice to make life more enjoyable and fun around the centre. She also has good communication skills and focuses on building relationships with the Kaiako, whanau and tamariki while upholding all the principals of the te whariki and taiaako. With keen attention to detail and reflective skills, she aims to improve her practice and become a better teacher. Shahzina has a keen interest in makeup and during her free time, she would watch TV series and experiment to improve her makeup skills.
